Local Teacher Quits School To Link Farmers to Schools

A year ago, Hans Estrin, a local schoolteacher, frustrated with policies that ignored local produce, quit his teaching job and started a new business to help get more local produce into local diets.

This is a problem all over the US, which causes massive transportation costs to be added to prices. It is about time more people started seeing great stories like this.

    This should be happening much more often. The cost of shipping goods is high and it is ridiculous to ship goods to distant markets and import the same goods from elsewhere.
