i miss vermont!! I lived in bratt for ten years and now i want to go back

cause maybe people in vermont (like me and everyone else in the state) hate connecticut, and even though the ct river starts off basicly in vermont, and they named it the connecticut river, we hate it.well,we DO!we hate those stupid ct and ny tourists!they complain and litter everywhere!
Know why? Because there’s nothing for kids to do in Brattleboro besides hang out downtown and cause trouble. Unless you’re on a sports team, perform in the youth theater, or spend your life doing online gaming, Brattleboro doesn’t have a whole lot to offer you. Trust me on this…I spent 15 years of my young life growing up there, and moving out of that town after high school was one of the best decisions Ive ever made. Brattleboro is a dying breed of city because of its refusal to accept change

And can someone tell me why the builders in this town decided that main street shouldn’t have a view of the gorgeous river that’s like RIGHT THERE, because wall to wall buildings block it? It’s like one of the dumbest things I’ve ever seen.
Too bad thugs have settled there ruining it like they ruin everywhere else they go. YOU know who I’m talking about. Stupid little cars bumping very loud stupid music, just crapping all over everything like they’re in some city or something. Human race fail. I feel sorry for towns like this.
We lived in Bennington but went up to Brattleboro frequently. (especially when my now ex-husband needed a stint in Brattleboro retreat for his drinking lol). I remember nude swimming at the swimming holes was big up there at the time.
Vermont really isn’t very liberal, its actually more libertarian, but it puts more emphasis on its social policy than fiscal conservatism. Vermont has a conservative Republican governor and lt. governor. Vermont has a socialist senator and a liberal democratic senator. Vermont is the most agnostic state in America. Vermonters are also very likely to own firearms compared to other states. I would say its more like Arizona east than San Francisco east.

It’s still my favorite town though.
You never know what you’ll see, or who you’ll meet, it’s always an adventure, and the music scene is great and getting better.

Haha.. it’s tame compared to what it used to be. I remember hippies smoking pot openly outside of Mocha Joe’s back in the early ’90s. I still stop by on my trips south.

Not to Manatee County, no. As far as thugs and VT are concerned, it seems like they are moving there from the videos I have been seeing and what people I still know up there have been telling me. No castle law in VT, I am sure. Do we have Castle Law all over Florida or just by county?

FL is high on tax man. I would not be surprised if NH doesnt even break this.
Not sure if you’re asking me, but if you are, I live in Palm Beach County, Florida…And to put it in perspective, I paid more in taxes last year than I made in my last full year living in NH in the mid 90s.

one thing i’m 16 and i know not to use the word funner lmfao. But no, not fun, in any way what so ever, even when i first moved here it got old the first day so yeah just don’t bet on having to much fun there’s only one club too and it’s ONLY OPEN UNTIL 9 lol.

Go to Manchester NH, Burlington, Brattleboro, Portland, Pawtucket, New Haven and you do not get opportunities. Its pretty much Boston and Providence and just maybe Hartford. Small New England towns/cities tho, not much chance to get even a minimum wage job. Where do you live now man?
Also the economy in small New England towns is’nt great. At least here most college grads find good paying jobs. For instance our school district grew in student population by 5000 kids per year. Lots of families moving in and tons of growth. Still lots of natural beauty though. Real eye opener for me when I got here twelve years ago.

I lived around Lowell MA. Brattleboro looks like it could be like Downtown Lowell only a little funner even.
